Football fans noticed that the NFL refs missed an obvious game-changing call in the final minute of the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 5 home game against the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon.
Trailing by three points with 1:05 remaining, Seahawks kicker Jason Myers lined up for a game-tying 47-yard attempt. Giants linebacker Isaiah Simmons blocked the kick, and Bryce Ford-Wheaton returned it to the house for a game-sealing touchdown. But as some fans noticed, the NFL refs missed a clear-as-day penalty against the Giants on the play:

As you can see in the video and image below, the Giants got away with multiple holds while Simmons jumped over the line to block the kick. If the officials caught this, Seattle would have gotten a fresh set of downs and another chance to tie or even win the game:

Every giants player is holding down a Seahawks blocker (this is a penalty and should have resulted in a Seahawks first down. pic.twitter.com/Jb5OWwnIc0

Yep, and I completely agree with you. Everything else you mentioned are big factors too.

NFL Refs’ Miscues Take Nothing Away From Giants Win
Regardless of the NFL refs’ controversy, the Giants deserved this victory. Daniel Jones played mistake-free football, and the New York ground game racked up 175 yards without Devin Singletary in the 29-20 victory.
The Giants saved their season for the time being by moving to 2-3 on the year, while the 3-2 Seahawks are on a shot week before hosting the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday.
