Coldplay Dodges Astronomer CEO & HR Chief Drama on Social Media After Jumbotron Bust of Andy Byron & Kristin Cabot’s Workplace Affair

Coldplay isn’t touching the Astronomer CEO/HR chief scandal, at least not online.
The group had a significant part to play in Andy Byron getting exposed for having an affair with Kristin Cabot, and the consequences have been far-reaching.
Byron and Cabot were both placed on leave by the dataOps company, and the former has since resigned from his position as CEO.
Chris Martin joked that the couple were either having an affair or really shy after they broke away from each other on the jumbotron, but he had no idea what would stem from it.
Coldplay Pretended Nothing Happened On Social Media

The singer continued joking about the surprising escape with the next couple, asking them whether they were legitimate, and generally seemed to have good fun with the incident. But the band has made no mention of the sighting on social media.
Their first post after Wednesday’s show simply read, “Show #207, Boston,” with the Instagram version coming with several photos and clips. They also left the viral incident out of their recap video.

At the time, Martin sort of lamented that, “I hope we didn’t do something bad,” later adding, “I’m not quite sure what to do.”
As it turns out, the fallout was pretty bad, with at least one job already vacated and two marriages possibly on the rocks.
Of course, the show must go on, and the tour was back on the road this weekend, with Coldplay firing fans up at Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday.
This time around, Martin made sure to give any potential cheaters enough time to compose themselves.
