New York Giants Are Going To Have A Tough Time Recruiting Free Agents After Disturbing Story Reveals Disgusting Treatment That One Player Received From GM Joe Schoen

The New York Giants are a dumpster fire of an organization from top to bottom, and having a general manager that treats players like crap will not bold well for future deals.

The Giants were already in the midst of a terrible season, and general manager Joe Schoen was busy making it even worse for cornerback Nick McCloud.

Recently, it was disclosed that the GM asked McCloud to take a pay cut from his deal during the week 4 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

McCloud had just signed a one-year, $2.98 million deal with the team in the offseason.

The New York Giants wanting him to take a pay cut before a game was quite unusual.

Multiple players on the team stated that Joe Schoen would tell McCloud’s representatives, “Don’t pay October’s rent. As soon as I can replace him, I’m going to replace him. I’m not f–king around.”

He was certainly not messing around, as the team would cut him after he refused to take a pay cut.

The San Francisco 49ers signed McCloud to the practice squad after he cleared waivers.

The New York Giants Make Things Worse By Losing Grip On No. 1 Pick

Before the New York Giants won their Week 17 game against the Indianapolis Colts, the Giants controlled the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

All they had to do was lose.

The Giants, instead, came out playing hard and scored the most points they have all year in a 45-33 win over the Indianapolis Colts at MetLife Stadium.

Some fans were cheering, but most of them were in disbelief.

The Giants entered the game with a 57% chance of finishing with the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, which would’ve ballooned to 86% with a loss.

Now, the New York Giants will likely lose out on being able to take Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders and Miami’s Cam Ward, who are projected to be the top quarterbacks selected and have been linked to the Giants throughout the season.
