Stephen Curry and Harrison Butker abortion stances go VIRAL amidst Donald Trump vs. Kamala Harris race

NBA’s Stephen Curry and NFL’s Harrison Butker revealed their support for Kamala Harris and Donald Trump respectively.

The race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris to determine who will end up being the 47th President of the United States of America is heating up. Both candidates are finding supporters among celebrities, businessmen and sporting professionals. Stephen Curry was the most popular star to come out and declare his support. But NFL star Harrison Butker and his differing views to the NBA star have since gone viral.

After coming back from the Olympics, Stephen Curry was a guest on a lot of talk shows and news hour programs. On CNBC’s Squawk on the Street’s show on September 4th, he was asked what specific issues he wants dealt.

Especially women’s rights and thinking about what’s at stake in this election. We need to be in a position where women have the right to choose what’s right for them.

Stephen Curry said

He mentioned that he is surrounded by women in his life and wants what is the best for them. That can come if Kamala Harris is voted as the next president.

The four-time NBA champion also talked about fostering the country into a new era where everyone can talk about their issues. He feels Harris and the Democrats can solve problems unlike the Republicans. All that made him speak through a pre-recorded video at the Democratic National Convention.

NBA and WNBA stars mostly have shown that they support Harris. But it is not the same when it comes to other sporting leagues. The NFL for instance, has a more balanced support base. One of the most vocal happens to be Kansas City Chiefs star, Harrison Butker.

Harrison Butker’s comments over abortion take a differing stance to Stephen Curry’s

The Chiefs kicker was speaking on FOX News recently alongside US Senator Josh Hawley. When asked specifically about whether he was supporting Donald Trump, Butker opened up:

I want us to be fighting for the most vulnerable, fighting for the unborn, and that’s what we should prioritize. I think you have to vote for whoever is gonna be the most pro-life and we have to be prayerful men that put God first. I think that’s what’s going to be best for our country.

Harrison Butker said

This is a completely different stance to what Stephen Curry said, as he is supporting the stance of banning abortions.

The most right-wing supporters have fallen in line with the Republicans view of not allowing abortions, whereas the Democrats and their supporters want the women to be able to choose what they want to do with their bodies.

Stephen Curry’s words might resonate with what most of the basketball community want, but Harrison Butker’s comments and his previous stance on how women should be in this world has left the NFL world divided.
