VIDEO: 49ers Kicker Jake Moody Had His Ankle Bend In Gruesome Way That Ankles Aren’t Supposed To Bend While Attempting A Tackle

Jake Moody should probably never attempt to tackle anyone ever again.

The San Francisco 49ers watched kicker Jake Moody suffer an injury in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals after doing something he shouldn’t have done.

Moody was injured after kicking off to the Cardinals with roughly minutes remaining in the second quarter of Sunday’s game.

He attempted to make a tackle and injured his right leg and/or ankle.

The replay showed his ankle turning in a way that it should not be going.

He immediately began grabbing at his lower leg before eventually making his way off the field.

ake Moody hopped to San Francisco’s bench and was then carted off the sideline and into the 49ers’ locker room.

His status for the rest of the was in doubt.

Jake Moody entered the game hitting eleven of 12 field goal attempts and had hit two fields against the Cardinals prior to his injury.

Who Replaces Kicker Jake Moody?

Jake Moody left Sunday’s game against the Cardinals due to a right ankle injury.

He was put in a compromising position to make a tackle of Arizona returner DeeJay Dallas on a kickoff in the second quarter, and the former suffered an ankle injury in the process.

The second-year kicker was able to hop to the sideline, but he was carted to the locker room.

After Moody went down, Punter Mitch Wishnowsky and fullback Kyle Juszczyk were soon seen practicing kicks on San Francisco’s sideline.

FOX’s broadcast reported that Wishnowsky would replace Moody if needed.
