REPORT: Kansas City Chiefs Are Now Being Linked To Former Pro Bowl Wide Receiver Not Davante Adams In Blockbuster Trade

The Kansas City Chiefs may hit the WR lottery.

Amari Cooper has not been playing well enough to start the season for the Cleveland Browns, and he may be seeing the end of his tenure fairly soon.

There have been rumblings that he may not want to be with the Browns and that a trade could be in his future. If that is the case, a team is already emerging for his services.

Trade speculation is running rampant for the Chiefs in the wake of Rashee Rice’s injury, and Browns WR Amari Cooper is now being linked to them.

If the Browns keep losing and want to get some value for the five-time Pro Bowler before it’s too late, the Chiefs would be the perfect fit.

Cleveland originally acquired Cooper in a trade with the Cowboys for essentially a fifth-rounder back in 2022.

His price certainly would be no higher than a second-round pick, and even that seems to be a reach right now with his play on the field.

As the Browns’ offensive struggles snowballed, Amari Cooper caught only 5 of 17 receiving targets over the past two games.

It’s unlikely that Kansas City will make a move before the bye in Week 6, but look for the team to make one with Rashee Rice out for the foreseeable future.

Amari Cooper Needs A Change of Scenery And The Kansas City Chiefs Need Him

Last year, Amari Cooper caught 72 passes for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns.

Cooper currently leads the NFL in drops with six.

So far this season, Cooper has caught 16 passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns in four games with Cleveland.

Aside from his drops, he has an obvious lack of effort at times, which speaks to his need to get out of town.
