REPORT: NFL Suspends Buffalo Bills Superstar Player

The NFL has handed a four-game suspension to Buffalo Bills star pass rusher Von Miller ahead of their Week 5 road game against the Houston Texans.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the NFL has suspended Von Miller for four games due to a violation of the league’s Personal Conduct Policy. He’ll be eligible to return for Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins.

Last year, Miller turned himself in to authorities and was arrested in Dallas, Texas, by police for allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend. The two-time Super Bowl champion denied the allegations, and his girlfriend later recanted her story.

With Miller suspended, that means he’ll miss the team’s Week 5 game in Houston (against old friend Stefon Diggs), their Week 6 road game against the AFC East rival New York Jets, Week 7 vs. the Tennessee Titans and Week 8 at the Seattle Seahawks.

This isn’t Von Miller’s first NFL suspension. He was also banned six games in the 2013 season for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. His season was cut short further when he suffered a torn ACL in Week 16 against the Houston Texans.

Coming off his worst season in 2023 (zero sacks), Miller got off to a strong start with three sacks over Buffalo’s first four games. Miller is in the third season of a massive six-year pact he signed in 2022 free agency.

Bills Need Other Players To Step Up Without Von Miller

The Bills lost their 2023 sacks leader, Leonard Floyd, to the San Francisco 49ers in free agency. Losing Floyd was a big blow for Sean McDermott’s defense that has struggled to find quality game-changing pass-rushers.

With Miller out indefinitely, the 3-1 Bills will need the other pass rushers to step up, especially with a difficult schedule looming. With the Nov. 5 trade deadline approaching, don’t be surprised if GM Brandon Beane makes a move with Miller out four games.
