REPORT: Brutal Weather Expected To Wreak Havoc On Key Week 4 Game Between Two Of The NFL’s Top Teams

Fans attending the Philadelphia Eagles’ Week 4 road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium will want to dress accordingly.

Tampa Bay was among the regions hit by Hurricane Helene, forcing the closure of local schools as well as the Tampa International Airport on Thursday. Despite this, all signs point toward the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting the Eagles as scheduled on Sunday.

Tragically, at least 45 people have died as a result of Hurricane Helene. According to the Tampa Bay Times, hundreds of thousands of people in the Tampa Bay Area lost power during the hurricane.

According to the ML Football X/Twitter account, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Week 4 home game against Philadelphia will have a temperature that feels like 99, with possible thunderstorms and strong humidity.

Raymond James Stadium hosted the two-day WWE WrestleMania 37 event in 2021. Wrestling fans may recall that night one was briefly delayed because of lightning risk in the area.

The Buccaneers’ Week 4 contest against Philly marks a rematch of last season’s NFC Wild Card Round, where Baker Mayfield led his team to a 32-9 blowout victory. FOX analyst Tom Brady, who played for the Bucs from 2020 to 2023, will be on the call with play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers Look To Bounce Back From Rough Week 3 Outing

In one of the biggest upsets of the 2024 NFL season, Tampa Bay was crushed 26-7 by rookie quarterback Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos at Raymond James Stadium last week.

The Bucs will look to rebound when they visit the NFC powerhouse Eagles, who are coming off a statement road win over the previously undefeated New Orleans Saints. Philadelphia will be without at least one star wide receiver in DeVonta Smith, and potentially AJ Brown as well.

With a win and a Saints loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the Bucs would reclaim sole possession of first in the NFC South.
