New Report Explains Why Taylor Swift Missed Chiefs-Falcons Week 3 Game On ‘Sunday Night Football,’ Reveals If She’ll Be Back For Their Week 4 Matchup vs. Chargers

Many NFL fans and Swifties were surprised and disappointed to learn that Taylor Swift could not attend the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 3 road game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.

Taylor Swift has been in a relationship with Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce for over a year now. The Grammy Award-winning singer attended 13 Chiefs games last season, including all four of their playoff games.

So, why wasn’t Swift able to watch her Chiefs move to 3-0 inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday night? According to a report from Steve Brenner and David Scott of The U.S. Sun, it’s because Swift had to prepare for the next stretch of her Eras Tour.

Additionally, Brenner and Scott report that Taylor Swift WILL be at SoFi Stadium this Sunday to cheer on the Chiefs for their Week 4 road game against the AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers:

“But Taylor, who, according to The U.S. Sun’s well-placed source, skipped the trip to Atlanta to begin preparations to resume her blockbuster Eras tour next month, is planning to attend Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers at Sofi Stadium.”

The source also told the outlet Swift wanted to spend time with friends, including Gigi Hadid, before she resumed her demanding touring schedule. The Eras Tour will continue on Oct. 18 when she begins the first of three shows at the Miami Dolphins’ home venue of Hard Rock Stadium.

The Chiefs narrowly snuck past Atlanta by a final score of 22-17 to improve to 3-0 on the season. This marks Kansas City’s first 3-0 start since the 2020 season when they finished with the league’s best record at 14-2.

Taylor Swift’s Return Might Be The Spark Travis Kelce Needs

The 34-year-old Kelce is off to a surprisingly slow start, with only eight receptions for 69 yards and no touchdowns over Kansas City’s first three games. Perhaps Swift’s return will provide the spark the future Hall of Famer needs to rediscover his All-Pro form.

After visiting the Chargers on Sunday, the Chiefs will head back home to Arrowhead Stadium to prepare for a “Monday Night Football” clash with the New Orleans Saints.
