Panthers QB Bryce Young Is Receiving Some High Praise For His Actions On The Sideline After Getting Benched For Andy Dalton

Will the Carolina Panthers trade second-year quarterback Bryce Young after his benching? Possibly not.

In the meantime, he is being praised for how he has been dealing with getting benched since it was announced shortly after his Week Two performance.

Nobody in the Carolina Panthers building has given up on Bryce Young quite yet.

On Sunday, he and everybody else watched as Andy Dalton threw for 319 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Panthers to their first win, 36-22, over the Las Vegas Raiders.

He’s the first and only quarterback this season to throw for at least 300 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Despite not playing a single minute, a Panthers teammate credited Bryce Young with handling the difficult development in stride.

ESPN’s David Newton reported tight end Tommy Tremble praised Young’s leadership on the sideline during Carolina’s Week 3 victory.

“We love him for that,” Tremble said.

An 0-2 start and a negative 60-point differential for the Carolina Panthers set off alarms around Charlotte, so a change was in mind since the team looked terrible in losses to the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Chargers.

The most notable poor performer was Bryce Young as the sophomore quarterback hasn’t made the second-year leap that many expected.

Teams Interested In Bryce Young Trade With Panthers

The Carolina Panthers took the big step of benching Bryce Young after just two games this season, which has caused many people to think that he could be traded elsewhere.

On Saturday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that “several teams” have shown interest in a trade for Young.

According to Schefter, teams have contacted the Panthers, while other teams have at least considered the possibility of attempting to trade for him.

Schefter added that a trade for Young would most likely come in the offseason.

The Panthers selected Bryce Young as the No. 1 overall pick in 2023, and he has gone 2-16 as a starter.
