Over a year after they began dating, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift’s relationship seems to be stronger than ever.
With recent reports circulating about the couple getting “very serious” about their future together (hinting that a possible engagement could be in the cards for the two), it seems like those in the couple’s inner circle are fully on-board with the relationship.
But it wasn’t always that way, particularly on Swift’s end, according to Life & Style, which reported that a source close to the situation confirmed to the outlet that some of Swift’s friends (a group that included Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez) were hesitant about some red flags early on.
“They didn’t trust him, thought he was just some cocky athlete, and warned her to be careful,” the source said. “But they’ve been proven wrong. Everyone absolutely loves Travis now.”

Life & Style also claims its source says Swift and Kelce have already discussed having kids, while a second source close to Swift also insinuated that a wedding between the two “will most likely will happen in the spring after football season.”
Kelce has taken some heat in recent weeks after getting off to a slow start this season. The 34-year-old All-Pro has just four receptions on seven targets for 39 yards through two games.
Several media pundits have argued that his relationship with Swift has distracted him from his football career, though it’s more likely his mini-slump has more to do with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs offense also having a slow start.
Mahomes is averaging just 221 yards passing per game, down significantly from the 265.5 yards passing per game he averaged through the first two games last season. Mahomes has also had 28 fewer pass attempts (58) through the first two games than he did last season (80).
