Shocking Details About The Teenager Who Shot 49ers WR Ricky Pearsall Emerges Following Near-Fatal Incident, And They Should Make Everyone Even More Furious

Some troubling details pertaining to the teenager involved in the shooting incident that left Ricky Pearsall seriously wounded have emerged recently.

The San Francisco 49ers wide receiver was shot in a daring robbery attempt on August 31 and recovered surprisingly quickly, given that he was shot in the chest.

According to MLFootball, who quotes ABC7 News, Pearsall’s 17-year-old assailant is alleged to have brought a gun to school the week before the shooting.

“The 17-year-old who shot #49ers rookie WR Ricky Pearsall reportedly brought a gun to school the week prior to the incident, per @abc7newsbayarea,” the account notes. “He allegedly shot Pearsall attempting to steal his Rolex.”

As mentioned above, Pearsall’s recovery was swift. The wideout is said to have resumed working out in the gym just two days later.

He is also understood to have been willing to play at the start of the season, though the Niners are rightfully cautious, so he will be out for at least the first four games.

Ricky Pearsall’s Shooter Has Apologized

According to the police report, both Pearsall and the would-be robber were hospitalized for injuries as the wide receiver put up a struggle, during which the assailant’s gun went off.

Pearsall had been signing autographs prior to the incident.

‘He’s genuinely very sorry that this did happen, as is his family,” the public defender assigned to the teenager said in a statement. “And I can say on their behalf, as well as on my own behalf, our thoughts go out to the Pearsall family and Mr. Pearsall himself. So there is genuine, genuine remorse in that regard. He is a young boy.”
