Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback and five-star recruit Dylan Raiola has yet to take a snap in the college ranks, and yet he’s already drawing comparisons to Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller Patrick Mahomes.
But the brand-new Dylan Raiola and Patrick Mahomes comparisons have nothing to do with on-field performance. Rather, it’s how Raiola looked when he showed up to Cornhuskers training camp.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared side-by-side images of Mahomes and Raiola. Since they look like identical twins in this photo, let us clarify that Mahomes is pictured on the left in the red jacket. Raiola is the one in the white Adidas shirt pulling suitcases:

And now social media losing their minds over just how much Dylan Raiola looks like Patrick Mahomes. Heck, Mahomes and Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill even commented on the eerie similarities:

Dylan is the son of former NFL center Dominic Raiola, who also played for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The elder Raiola spent his entire career with the Detroit Lions, from 2011 to 2014.
The 19-year-old Dylan Raiola attended Buford High School in Buford, Georgia for his senior year. He announced his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes in 2022, only to flip his commitment to Nebraska last December.
Nebraska will open their 2024 season with a home contest against UTEP on Aug. 31.
Dylan Raiola Will Compete For Cornhuskers Starting QB Job
Heinrich Haarberg was Nebraska’s main starting quarterback last year, though Chubba Purdy (the younger brother of San Francisco 49ers star QB Brock Purdy) and Jeff Sims also got playing time.
Per Justin Rudolph of On3.com, Cornhuskers head coach Matt Rhule said, “When we know, we know,” regarding the team’s starting quarterback at the Big Ten Football Media Days.
Last season, Haarberg completed 49.0 percent of his passes for 967 yards, seven touchdowns and as many interceptions. He was dynamic as a runner, however, with a team-leading 477 yards and five touchdowns.
