Judging by his post-game comments, it looks like Tyreek Hill has played his last game for the Miami Dolphins.
The Dolphins’ postseason hopes ended when the Denver Broncos beat the Kansas City Chiefs’ backups 38-0 at Mile High City. But Miami put up a disappointing effort anyway, losing 32-20 to the New York Jets to finish below .500 (8-9) for the first time since 2019.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Hill indicated that he’d like to be traded by the Dolphins in the offseason, per Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald:
“I just got to do what’s best for me and my family, if that’s here or wherever the case may be…I’m opening the door. I’m out bro. It was great playing here, but at the end of the day I got to do what’s best for, you know, my career because I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”
When another reporter asked Hill if he was considering leaving Miami, Hill took a few seconds to think of an answer before stating, “Yes” and walking away.

Obviously, things could have been a lot different for Miami if they didn’t play six games without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. So an 8-9 finish is far from disastrous given the circumstances, but it may not be enough to keep Hill aboard for another year.
Tyreek Hill Had A Disappointing Season In Miami
The 2024 season was a significant disappointment for Hill’s standards, as he finished with 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns. Those would be excellent numbers for most other wide receivers, but it’s a far drop from the 119-1,799-13 stat line he posted a year earlier.
