PHOTO: Lions Star LB Alex Anzalone Shows Off Gruesome Scar From His Forearm Surgery That Will Make Your Stomach Turn

Detroit Lions star linebacker Alex Anzalone showed off the gruesome-looking scar from surgery on his fractured forearm ahead of Sunday’s Week 18 clash with the Minnesota Vikings.

Alex Anzalone suffered a forearm fracture in the Lions’ 52-6 blowout win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 17. He was placed on the injured reserve and missed six games but will return for tonight’s pivotal ‘Sunday Night Football’ showdown with Minnesota.

Ahead of his return, Anzalone showed off the gnarly scar from his forearm surgery with a hilarious caption that read, “Everyone wants to be a dog, until you have to do some dog sh*t.”

The winner of the Lions-Vikings game will win the NFC North and clinch the conference’s top seed and only first-round bye. The loser will be a 14-3 team that must travel to Tampa Bay OR Los Angeles in the Wild Card Round.

Alex Anzalone’s Return Is A Giant Boost For Lions

The 30-year-old Anzalone has been a mainstay on Dan Campbell’s defense since joining the Lions in 2021. The hard-hitting linebacker had one sack, four pas breakups and 56 combined tackles in nine games before his injury.

Detroit has been hit brutally hard by the injury bug on the defensive side of the ball, so Anzalone’s return couldn’t come at a much better time.
