NFL Fans Are Convinced The Saints-Buccaneers Week 18 Game Was “Rigged” Following Incredibly Fishy & Bizarre Ending

Football fans are convinced that the the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-New Orleans Saints game on Sunday was rigged following a tremendously bizarre ending involving star wide receiver Mike Evans.

The 31-year-old Evans led the Bucs to a 27-19 victory over New Orleans to clinch the NFC South division crown for the fourth straight year. To make the victory sweeter, Evans caught an eight-yard pass at the end to secure his 11th straight 1,000-yard season PLUS a $3 million bonus:

So why do some fans find this ending suspicious? The Bucs just needed to take a knee to seal the NFC South, but they made the risky decision to pad Evans’ stats so he could secure 1K receiving and the lucrative bonus.

Not only that, but several sportsbooks including FanDuel set Evans’ over/under at 90 receiving yards. He finished with 89, so you can probably guess how fans reacted to this:

“FanDuel just rigged Mike evans bro he need one yard to get his shortest alternate…,” a fan posted on X/Twitter.

“FanDuel just rigged Mike evans bro he need one yard to get his shortest alternate…,” a fan posted on X/Twitter.

“Lowest allowable Mike Evans yards bet on Fanduel: 90 Mike Evans today: 89 yards @NFL @FDSportsbook need to be investigated. #Rigged,” a fan claimed.

“Welp, everybody better be fired after letting Mike Evans get 1K! #rigged,” said another.

“Mike Evans gets the record. Las Vegas gets the receiving line under to hit. Perfect execution of the rigged NFL. It’s almost impressive honestly,” quipped a fan.

“Fan duel made Mike Evans minimum yards 90 today . He finishes with 89. You can’t tell me sports aren’t rigged,” one fan said.

“Mike Evans line proves once & for all Vegas is rigged yo,” wrote a user.

WWE NFL 🤡… Saints actor #1 on defense is the worst actor I’ve ever seen… Dude just let Mike Evans get his incentive bonus for free with that fake scripted defense… Hope you don’t look lost when you face your karma and burn for crimes against humanity 🤡…,” said another.

Mike Evans Is A Surefire Hall Of Famer

If there was any doubt about Evans’ Hall of Fame case coming into 2024, there shouldn’t be any more. That’s now 11 straight 1,000-yard seasons to begin his career, and you can’t forget that he missed three games earlier this year.

With Chris Godwin out for the year, the pressure amped up for Evans to produce even more. He was up for the challenge, alright, and his Bucs are now celebrating a fifth straight trip to the postseason.
