NFL legend Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie McDevitt Kelce, have shared sweet news with their followers: they’re expecting their fourth baby, and it’s a girl!
The couple, already parents to three daughters Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett announced the news on Instagram Friday night, posting a photo of their three little ones wearing “Big Sister” sweaters.
However, judging by the girls’ expressions, it seems they have mixed feelings about the arrival of another sister.
Kylie wrote in the post: “I feel like we captured a very accurate representation of how each of the girls feels about getting another sister.
At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page!” This lighthearted and realistic approach shows how the couple navigates parenthood with humor.
A surprise that wasn’t so unexpected
Although the announcement may seem like a surprise, it’s not entirely unexpected. Kylie had hinted in the past that there might be more children in their future.
In an interview with The Strategist, a New York Magazine publication, she revealed that all three of their daughters share Hanna Andersson pajamas, and that both she and Jason had kept extras in case another baby was on the way.
“We still have some packed up, just in case there ends up being a fourth,” Kylie said.
Jason had also previously hinted at wanting a larger family. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 37-year-old football star mentioned, “Kylie has expressed before we started having kids, she wanted a big family. So we’ll see what the future holds.”
While the couple is excited and grateful for the family they’ve built, keeping up with three young children isn’t easy.
In a TODAY.com interview, Kylie admitted that the transition from two to three kids was a challenge. “With two, you have one for each hand.
At any point, you can grab and catch both of them,” she said. “Now, when they scatter in three directions, I have to do the mom math of, ‘Who do I grab first?’”
Despite the chaos and challenges, both Jason and Kylie seem to find comfort in the sweet moments of parenthood.
MORE in MARCA
As Jason said, “For me, fatherhood is the most important thing in my life.” Kylie added, “It’s OK to sit in the chaos. It’s OK to feel those moments when it’s hard, because I think it makes the sweet parts even sweeter.”
With their fourth daughter expected in 2025, the Kelces are preparing to add even more love and chaos to their home.
