Jason Kelce Smashes Man’s Phone After Person Calls Travis Kelce a Homophobic Slur

Jason Kelce confronted a man who heckled him and used an anti-gay slur while insulting Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift by throwing his phone to the ground.

Jason Kelce got into a confrontation with a man who insulted his brother Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift using particularly offensive language.

As the ESPN NFL analyst was walking near Beaver Stadium at Penn State University Park Nov. 2 ahead of the Nittany Lions football team’s game against Ohio State, a man nearby started heckling him.

“Kelce,” he called out, “how does it feel that your brother is a [homophobic slur] for dating Taylor Swift?”

Jason then turned around and appeared to take a person’s phone and smash it to the ground, then pick it up and walk away, according to multiple reports and videos shared on X.

It was not immediately clear if the man whose phone was smashed was the same man who shouted the slur, NBC News noted.

E! News has reached out to reps for Jason and ESPN for comment on the incident and has not heard back.

The 36-year-old, who was in town to appear on ESPN’s College GameDay, has long been supportive of Travis and Taylor’s relationship, which began more than a year ago.

Jason and his wife Kylie Kelce have also attended a few of her Eras tour concerts, most recently with their eldest daughters Wyatt Kelce, 4, and Elliotte Kelce, 3, in Miami last month.

“Dude, it was on another level,” Jason later said on his and Travis’ New Heights podcast. “I texted you halfway through it, ‘This rain, Tay is killing it.’ Dude, when ‘Reputation’ came on and she came out in a new outfit and the rain was coming down, the place could have f–king erupted. I mean, it did. The amount of energy was insane. It was so exciting.”

Jason and Kylie have also joined Taylor at Travis’ NFL games several times.

“Travis came up big because he had someone special in the stadium,” Jason said on New Heights in October after the Grammy winner attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the New Orleans Saints. “Someone that means a lot to him and he really always tries to perform well when they’re there and that is me.”

Continuing the joke, the retired Philadelphia Eagles star added that Travis always has “good games when I show up.”
