It seems everyone has a strong opinion about the high-profile romance between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift.
The polarizing relationship has ostensibly divided most NFL fans with a small contingency tired of seeing Swift’s face plastered all over the television screen during Chiefs’ games and a seemingly bigger camp unbothered by the amount of air time the 31-year-old singer-songwriter commands during NFL hours.
Most likely don’t want Kelce’s relationship to end, they just don’t want to hear about it anymore. However, there is at least one person actively rooting for the All-Pro tight end and 14-time Grammy winner to split up: reality TV star Kim Kardashian.
According to a recent report from Life & Style, Kardashian, who has a reputation for continually being at odds with Swift, wants to see her relationship with the three-time Super Bowl champion fail.
“Kim would never say anything publicly, but privately she’s getting a big kick out of predicting when this whole thing will crash and burn and laughing at how embarrassing it’s all going to be for Taylor when it does,” a source told Life & Style.
“…Kim’s not looking for another fight with Taylor, but it does really piss her off that she gets completely raked over the coals for her dating dramas, while Taylor always seems to come out smelling like a rose. No doubt she’s going to raise a glass of champagne if and when Travis and Taylor do break up.”
Though Kardashian is rooting for the couple’s demise, recent reports indicate that their relationship is stronger than ever, and there have been suggestions that an engagement is on the horizon – likely after the NFL season ends.
Both Kelce and Swift appear to be all-in on their relationship as both have been rumored to be taking several steps toward their future together including opening a liquor store, possibly co-owning an NFL team, and buying vacation homes in Italy and Hawaii.
If Kelce and Swift do end up tying the knot, it will likely signal the end of Kelce’s NFL career could be coming. The 35-year-old pass-catcher has already started taking on small acting roles in addition to his “New Height” podcast as he prepares himself for life after the NFL.
