REPORT: Ravens Fan John Callis Denied Bail Following Assault On Commanders Fans, Lawyer Claims He Was On A 2 Week “Alcohol & Cocaine Bender”

John Callis, the Baltimore Ravens fan seen assaulting a pair of Washington Commanders supporters in a video following the former’s win on October 13, is in custody and being held without bail.

Callis, 24, turned himself in to Baltimore police after a warrant was put out in his name and has since appeared before a judge following charges of first-degree aggravated assault. The former insurance salesman has also been charged with three counts of second-degree assault.

Officials have revealed that Callis was on a 15-day alcohol and cocaine bender at the time of the incident. According to the Baltimore Sun, his lawyer is pushing for him to be released to a patient treatment facility.

WJZ’s Mike Hellgren has also reported that the Ravens fan was on probation for a prior violent assault and was ordered to undergo addiction treatment after he “beat a man who appeared to be unconscious in the middle of York Road.”

There’s said to be no evidence that he ever received any treatment.
