McDonald’s unveils Taylor Swift inspired ‘Bestie Bundle’ meal deal — and this is the surprise gift you get

 

 

This will be one happy meal for Swifties.

McDonald’s has debuted a new value meal seemingly inspired by the friendship bracelets exchanged at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

The “Bestie Bundle,” which rings in at $13 CAD plus tax, includes two of everything — Junior Chicken sandwiches, small fries and small fountain drinks — perfect for splitting with a friend. It even features two limited edition friendship bracelets that are adorned with five phrases such as “Live Laugh Big Mac.”

There is a catch, however, for American Swifties: the value meal is only available in Canada. The fact has ignited fury among fast food and Swift fans.

“Cries in American,” quipped one TikTok user.

“Is this only in Canada?? America is on fire right now…I need a little bestie bundle of joy,” begged another.

“You’re telling me this is only in CANADA!! I want a friendship bracelet,” lamented one person.

“Time to take a trip to Canada,” someone else wrote.

“Never in my life have I wanted to be Canadian more than today,” content creator Brittany Giaccani said in a recent TikTok clip. “Do I have friends in Canada? I just want them so bad.”

“We brought our guests the Bestie Bundle because we know that our favourite McDonald’s orders bring friends together,” Alyssa Buetikofer, the chief marketing officer of McDonald’s Canada, said in a statement.

The release comes as Swift performs in Toronto for two weekends and in Vancouver next month on her blockbuster Eras Tour, during which devout fans have crafted an abundance of colorful friendship bracelets to wear and trade at each stop.

The bracelets, inspired by a line in her song “You’re on Your Own, Kid” about making the beaded jewelry, are typically adorned with song titles, lyrics, acronyms or other Swift-related phrases, prompting brands to produce and sell them, too.
