Someone Captured Jaw-Dropping Photos Of All The Lightning Strikes Around Acrisure Stadium Before Steelers-Cowboys SNF Game, And It’s Like Nothing You’ve Ever Seen Before

NFL fans are in awe over an incredible image of lightning flashing over Acrisure Stadium before the Pittsburgh Steelers-Dallas Cowboys Week 5 game on “Sunday Night Football” yesterday.

The matchup between Mike Tomlin’s Pittsburgh Steelers and Dak Prescott’s visiting Dallas Cowboys was initially scheduled to begin at 8:20 p.m. EST. However, thunder and lightning in the area delayed the start by 90 minutes, and it didn’t conclude until nearly 1:00 a.m. local time.

Local photographer Dave DiCello shared several images he caught of the lightning flashing over Acrisure Stadium. The first one is especially jaw-dropping and deserves a spot in “National Geographic Magazine.”

Let’s just say that the images are so jaw-dropping that some fans accused them of being AI-generated.

Well, the wait for the game was worthwhile unless you’re one of the fans who had to get up for work or school early today. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys only play once every four years, but they teamed up for another dandy of a showdown last night.

Prescott played hero by throwing the game-winning touchdown to wide receiver Jalen Tolbert with only 20 seconds remaining on fourth and goal. Dallas’ defense held down the fort against Justin Fields and company to hand the host Steeles a second straight loss.

A single score has decided all five meetings between the Cowboys and Steelers in the 21st century. In his first visit to Steel City eight years ago, Prescott also led Dallas on a last-minute game-winning dive to stun Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh Steelers & Dallas Cowboys Headed In Opposite Directions

Two weeks ago, the Steelers were sitting pretty at 3-0 while the sky was falling in Dallas. The Cowboys had suffered a second straight home defeat (at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens) that dropped them to 1-2.

But Dallas is back in business with two straight road wins that moved them to 3-2 on the year. The Steelers have now dropped consecutive games, and an inconsistent offense may force Tomlin to bench Justin Fields in favor of Russell Wilson once the latter is cleared to return.
