Ailin Perez isn’t your average UFC fighter who just fights and waits for another bout. She is also an OnlyFans model with a flair for the dramatic. And she brought the drama to UFC Paris! The fighter shook things up – quite literally after her victory. The Argentinian firecracker faced off against the Russian Darya Zheleznyakova in a women’s bantamweight bout.

Ailin Perez Had A Dangerous Weight Cut Going Into UFC Paris

Weight cutting in MMA can be a brutal process, and Perez’s recent experience hammers that point home. The Argentinian fighter faced a scary moment at the UFC Paris weigh-ins.

Ailin Perez has been on a hot streak, winning three straight fights in the UFC. But the scale became her toughest opponent yet. Perez stepped up, looking visibly shaken and trembling. The numbers weren’t kind either. She tipped the scales at 136.5 pounds. That’s half a pound over the limit, even with the one-pound allowance.

Now, missing weight isn’t uncommon in MMA. But Perez’s physical state raised some serious eyebrows. She was shaking like a leaf in a hurricane and had tremors. It’s a stark reminder of the dangers fighters face before they even step into the octagon.

The UFC decided to let the fight proceed as a catchweight bout. But Perez had to fork over 20% of her purse as a penalty. This marked Perez’s first weight miss in her pro career. But her win made up for this horrible experience. She will eventually have to recognize her weight-cutting regimen’s mistakes and return better.
