Donald Trump gave a shout-out to one of the top NFC teams during his speech at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night.
The 2024 RNC was held at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Donald Trump officially accepted the GOP nomination last night, and he’s set to run against Joe Biden in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
During his speech, Trump gave a nod to the Green Bay Packers and told the raucous crowd in Milwaukee that their team will have a big year in 2024.
“And Green Bay is gonna have a good team this year, right? They’re gonna have a good team,” Trump said.

Needless to say, Donald Trump isn’t the only one who expects big things for the Packers here in 2024.
The Packers were one of the top surprises of the 2023 NFL season, finishing 9-8 to secure the NFC’s final Wild Card spot in year one of the post-Aaron Rodgers era.
Quarterback Jordan Love led the Cheeseheads to a stunning 48-32 blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round, marking the Packers’ first playoff victory in three years.

Green Bay nearly upset the heavily-favored and top-seeded San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round, losing 24-21 after Love threw a late interception. Nonetheless, it was special year of significant progress for a Packer team that wasn’t even supposed to make the postseason after trading Rodgers to the New York Jets.
