Donald Trump‘s latest remark about Taylor Swift seems to have left a bitter taste in the mouth of the singer’s friend, Brittany Mahomes, who is believed to be one of his many supporters.

According to reports, Mahomes has begun to question her support for the ex-president after he shared a message about hating Swift on his Truth Social platform.

Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift’s friendship has since been under scrutiny over their different political views.

According to the Daily Mail, sources have revealed that the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is reconsidering her public show of support for Trump after his scathing attack on Taylor Swift.

The singer broke the internet last week Tuesday when she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president, shortly after Mahomes showed her support for Trump by liking a social media post about the Republican candidate.

Unsurprisingly, Trump didn’t take too kindly to Swift’s endorsement of Harris and let his feelings be known by sharing a short and direct message aimed at the “Blank Space” hitmaker.

He wrote on Truth Social, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT.”

This post reportedly shocked Mahomes and made her question her support for the billionaire politician.

“She is questioning her support for Donald Trump after he lashed out at Taylor, saying he hates her,” a source told the news outlet. “This deeply bothered Brittany because Taylor is like a sister to her and she has done absolutely nothing wrong.”

The source further noted that Trump’s comment about Swift left Mahomes deeply upset as she does not condone hate of any kind.

“She does not believe in hate in any form and loves Taylor so much,” the insider said. “This shook her to the core.”

They, however, clarified that “This doesn’t mean [Mahomes] is suddenly voting Kamala. It has just made her more aware of supporting [Trump] so publicly.”

Since the swimsuit model made her support for Trump known, she has been seen hanging out with Swift at the U.S. Open, where they shared a hug, and at the wedding of model Karen Elson and Electric Lady Studios owner Lee Foster.

Swift and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, also attended Patrick Mahomes’ 29th birthday party on Sunday.

Before Trump’s “hate” post about Swift, the Republican presidential candidate had already shared his thoughts on the singer’s endorsement of Harris on “Fox & Friends,” stating how much he prefers Mahomes to Swift.

During the interview, Trump also claimed that Swift would eventually regret her support for Harris in the “marketplace.”

He said, “I was not a Taylor Swift fan. It was just a question of time. She couldn’t, you couldn’t possibly endorse Biden… But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”

Trump then praised Mahomes, claiming she’s “a big MAGA fan,” adding, “That’s the one I like much better than Taylor Swift.”

In her message endorsing Harris, Swift made sure to address Trump’s strange use of AI photos of her on Truth Social.

Back in August, the billionaire politician took to his social media platform to share fake photos of the singer and her fans, along with messages that portrayed her as a Trump supporter.

Regarding the incident, Swift said, “Recently, I was made aware that AI of ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential run was posted to his site.”

She added, “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.”

To that end, Swift noted that she would be supporting Harris for president in the 2024 presidential elections.

Taylor Swift Has Spoken Out Against Donald Trump In The Past

Swift has previously criticized Trump, condemning the then-president’s comments regarding protesters in 2020.

She tweeted at the time: “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November.”

That same year, Swift posted a photo of herself holding a tray of freshly baked cookies with the words “Biden/Harris 2020” written on them with blue, white, and red frosting.
