Elon Musk sparks backlash over offer to give ‘child’ to Taylor Swift over Kamala Harris post

 

Tech mogul  has once again found himself at the centre of social media controversy, this time involving pop superstar .

The unexpected drama unfolded after Swift publicly endorsed Vice President  for the upcoming presidential election.

Swift took to Instagram to announce her support for Harris, praising the VP as a “steady-handed, gifted leader.”

The Grammy winner wrote a lengthy statement alongside a photo of herself with her cat Benjamin Button.

She posted, “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.”

“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”

In a pointed jab at critics, the singer cheekily signed off her post as “Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady.”

Musk, a vocal supporter of , quickly responded on X with an eyebrow-raising offer.

In a viral tweet, Musk wrote, “Fine Taylor … you win … I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life.”

Many users branded Musk’s tweet as “creepy” and “weird,” with Swift’s fans expressing outrage at the unsolicited and inappropriate nature of the remark.

An X user slammed Musk, “I’m sorry but the richest man on the planet casually telling a woman he’s not dating that he’s going to put a baby in her is so skin-crawlingly creepy I don’t know where to start.”

Another one added, “”How does someone so successful manage to be so consistently tone-deaf?”

“Musk needs to log off and touch grass. This is beyond inappropriate,” a third one added.

Another angry Swifty wrote, “Keep Taylor’s name out of your mouth, Elon. She’s too good for this nonsense.”

Musk’s estranged daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, also weighed in on the controversy. In a scathing post, she called her father’s comment “heinous incel nonsense” and “abhorrent”.

Musk has fathered at least 12 children.

Swift has not publicly responded to Musk’s comment, as of writing.
