Cam Newton, like most of the NFL world, knows all about the power couple of the day: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. A report surfaced recently that the two are going on daily dates that cost around $100,000. That may not be a lot for a billionaire singer and an NFL superstar with the Kansas City Chiefs, but it adds up.
Newton said on his Fourth & 1 podcast (51:44 – 52:42):
“That love costly. All I just want to know is who picking up the tab?”
His co-host noted that the report states that both parties pay for a lot, but there’s a difference between Kelce and his $30 million net worth vs. Swift and her $1 billion net worth.
The former Carolina Panthers QB added:
“Different. World tours vs Las Vegas Raiders it’s a different type of check.”
His co-host joked that they might fly Delta, but Newton retorted:
“F*ck no, they can buy a Delta plane out or not they, she can buy Delta plane out. She’s probably the highest-grossing artist like touring artist not just artist touring artist. ‘I’m about to make this back tonight. Matter of fact I’m about to make this back on my first two songs.’”
Swift makes a ton of money, so a $100,000 date probably isn’t much. This is especially true while she is still actively on the world’s best-selling musical tour. The former New England Patriots star joked that she’d make that within her first couple of songs each night.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift recently went on a double date
Though it likely didn’t cost $100,000, the star couple of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift recently went on a double date with Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany. The ladies spent some time together during the NFL season and developed a relationship.
Mahomes and Kelce are best friends on and off the field, and their partners have become close as well. The QB and his tight end were seen smiling and posing with their ladies on a bridge in London and some other photos from Amsterdam as Swift continues to tour the world.
