NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson couldn’t help but take a shot at Tom Brady during the latter’s broadcasting debut on FOX Sports.
On Sunday, the 47-year-old Tom Brady began the first of a 10-year, $375 million contract he signed with FOX Sports in 2022, ahead of his final NFL season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brady was in the booth for the Cleveland Browns-Dallas Cowboys game with play-by-play voice Kevin Burkhardt and sideline reporter Erin Andrews. His first NFL game as an analyst was met with mixed reviews, though one fellow media personality couldn’t help but poke fun at the debut performance of the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
The Cowboys initially lined up for a Brandon Aubrey 71-yard field goal attempt, a kick that would have set a new NFL record if successful. But Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy changed his mind and called for a Hail Mary instead.
That’s when Hanson took a shot at Tom Brady, stating that the three-time MVP didn’t sound excited enough when Aubrey was initially lined up for a 71-yard attempt:
