Dak Prescott’s Agent Shared His FaceTime Photo After Finding Out He Just Signed Record-Breaking Contract With Cowboys & His Reaction Was Priceless

Three-time Pro Bowl quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys agreed on a four-year, $240 million contract extension just hours before Sunday’s season opener against the Cleveland Browns, per a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The deal makes Prescott the highest-paid player in NFL history. It also guarantees his security and prevents him from becoming a free agent after the season.

Schefter reported that $231 million of the deal is guaranteed.

As anyone would, it certainly brought a smile to Prescott’s face.

Todd France, his agent, showed off Dak Prescott’s excited reaction on Facetime after he told him about the deal.

The Cowboys are re-signing Prescott, who will be 31 years old as he enters his ninth NFL season in 2024.

He is now the NFL’s highest-paid player, with an average-per-year contract value of $60 million. This will surpass the $55 million APY set by Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow on his five-year, $275 million deal, per NFL.com.

Next up on that list is both Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Dak Prescott Now Needs To Prove Himself In The Postseason

Dak Prescott puts up gaudy numbers in the regular season every year.

He has the type of numbers that can put him in the MVP discussion.

Even though he has made the Cowboys a regular playoff team, that is where his success usually ends.

Dak Prescott has a 2-5 record in the playoffs in his career. That includes a blowout loss to the Packers in the Wild card last year.

While the Cowboys’ playoff failures are a huge issue, quarterbacks as good as Prescott don’t come around too often, and he played at an MVP level in 2023.
