VIDEO: Frightening Footage Shows Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders Nearly Being Decapitated By A Brutal Head-Shot That Resulted In An Ejection During Blowout Loss To Nebraska

Shedeur Sanders may one day emerge as a star quarterback at the NFL level, but he’s going to have to make it out of college alive first.

The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback has made a lot of special plays during his time in the Rockies, but he’s also taken a ton of punishment behind a very suspect offensive line. Saturday night was no different, as the Nebraska Cornhuskers defense teed off on Shedeur over and over again.

Some of those hits were clean, but not this one.

Nebraska’s Mikai Gbayor was ejected for targeting as a result of the hit, and rightfully so. As for Shedeur Sanders, he was able to remain in the game for the rest of the drive, and complete a touchdown pass to make it 28-10. However, he was pulled from the game and was seen leaving the field with two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Tough Night For Shedeur Sanders And The Buffaloes

Saturday night’s loss was a big blow to Shedeur and the Buffaloes. After a close win against North Dakota State, this ugly performance against the Cornhuskers should pretty much dash any slim hope that Colorado may have had at making the College Football Playoff.

In addition to that, Shedeur certainly didn’t do himself any favors when it comes to the Heisman race. He completed just 23 of his 38 pass attempts for 244 yards and a touchdown, but he also threw a costly pick-six from deep in his own territory that really helped Nebraska pull away early.

Next up for Shedeur Sanders and the Buffaloes is a date against Colorado State, as they look to shake off the cobwebs and get back in the win column against another heated rival.
