Angel Reese’s Historic Play Praised by Fans as Sky Lose amid WNBA Playoff Picture

 

Forward Angel Reese recorded yet another double-double on Tuesday night, but her Chicago Sky fell to the Las Vegas Aces 90-71 in blowout fashion on the road.

Reese finished with 12 points on 4-of-12 shooting to go along with 16 rebounds, three assists and two steals. It marked her ninth double-double in the past 10 games and her 25th of the season, which extended her rookie record.

The former LSU’s star’s performance came on the heels of her setting the WNBA single-season rebounding record Sunday with 19 boards in a loss to the Minnesota Lynx.

Reese surpassed the previous record of 408 held by Sylvia Fowles, and Reese is trending toward being the first player in WNBA history with 500 points and 500 rebounds in a single season. She has 438 points and 434 rebounds with seven games to go.
