New Report Reveals How Many Billions Of Dollars Will Be Wagered On The NFL This Season, And The Final Number Will Absolutely Blow Your Mind

The return of the NFL season means teams are fighting for playoff spots while the fans will be fighting to make money by placing bets or wagers on everything from the actual games to props.

The American Gaming Association expects $35 billion to be legally wagered this NFL season, which is easily a new record as more people across the country bet on more sports.

If that happens, it would mark more than 30% growth over the $26.7 billion Americans wagered during last year’s National Football League season, according to the AGA.

More than 95 percent of the bets or wagers will be done online since apps like Prize Picks, FanDuel, DraftKings, ESPN Bet, Fanatics, Underdog, and many more have made it so much easier to separate fans from their money with just a few clicks of a button on their phones.

A new NFL season means that fans will be hard-pressed to hit it big when it comes to placing bets.

Sports betting addiction is a behavioral disorder that can give a person an uncontrollable desire to bet on sports despite adverse outcomes, according to the Addiction Center.

There’s been a surge in young gambling addicts in the last five years, with mobile sports betting enticing fans to wager often.

You can’t escape the commercials watching television and certainly cannot stop it from popping up online which has some of the youngest people in the country participating.

Thirty-eight states, plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, have legalized sports gambling since 2018, and it will eventually affect all of them.
