Taylor Swift Branded ‘Fake’ After Moment Spotted During Travis Kelce’s Game

Taylor Swift prompted a section of fans to call her ‘fake’ after a clip of her cheering on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs emerged online.

The pop sensation has regularly supported her fiance ever since they began dating, even while in the midst of her record-breaking Eras world tour.

Swift’s very first appearance watching Kelce strut his stuff for the Chiefs came in September 2023 and she has continued to be present at various games, including play-offs, Wild Card, Divisional, AFC Championship and multiple Super Bowls.

In September, not long after the power couple became engaged, Swift had an unusual entrance at Arrowhead for a Super Bowl rematch with Philadelphia Eagles – whereby staff erected a large black screen which prevented her from being seen by fans and cameras.

In a new clip appearing to be from her Disney docuseries which has circulated on social media, Swift was seen sporting a Chiefs shirt while watching the game on a large TV screen in a locker room.

The Blank Space singer became extremely animated as she watched the action but some users on social media took issue – claiming that the video was ‘fake’.

They claimed that Swift’s change in hairstyle during the sequence was evidence, with one person on X writing: “They filmed this in more than one take? Watch her hair.”

A second chimed in and commented: “How FAKE is Taylor Swift? Well she needed at least more than one take ‘Take’ whilst watching the NFL before publishing. Watch her hair change – seriously who does that?”

A third user simply, added: “Two takes for the clip.”

However, a longer version of the video showed that it was part of a compilation of Swift reacting to different plays in quick cuts as opposed to multiple versions of the same reaction – with many fans posting it to defend the 36-year-old.

How Swift and Kelce react to losses

The editing for the sequence wasn’t particularly smooth though, with Swift’s scream of “Oh my god Kareem!” as a nod to Kareem Hunt when the footage showed her other half Kelce being tackled.

Following on from a costly error against the Houston Texas and the Chiefs failing to make the play-offs for the first time since 2014, a new report from Star Magazine, citing an insider source, claimed that takes Kelce takes defeats “pretty badly” and it “takes days for him to get over it”.

That in turn has an impact on Swift, who can find herself “riding out all of those emotions alongside him”. It’s stated that “it’s hard for her to see him like that” and she makes a conscious effort to try and pick him back up.
