“EVEN HIS OWN BROTHER WAS LEFT OUT?” Jason Kelce’s cold confession that he hadn’t been informed of any details about his role as best man at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding has sparked a fierce controversy. As the world counts down to the “wedding of the century,” the fact that the groom’s closest brother was completely uninformed has fans questioning: is this a secretive strategy or a sign of a rift behind the scenes? It’s even more shocking considering Jason had publicly expressed his desire to stand beside his brother on their big day. Social media immediately split, with some defending privacy and others suspecting a family drama was being concealed. For Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and a wedding scrutinized down to the smallest detail, this silence is perhaps more disruptive than any announcement.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who announced his engagement to fiancée Taylor Swift in August, apparently hasn’t approached his older brother, Jason Kelce, about filling in the role.

The retired NFL star was asked about preparing for his best man speech in a new interview, and he admitted he still didn’t know whether or not it would be necessary.

“Time will tell if there is one or anything like that,” Jason said of a best man speech on Good Morning America on Friday, Dec. 19. “I’ve been given no details on that front.”

However, the father of four isn’t picky when it comes to his involvement in the wedding plans.

“However I’m involved, I’ll be happy to be,” he shared. “I’m just happy for those two.”

Jason, who married Kylie Kelce in 2018, admitted to wanting the best man role back in September, during an appearance on the Bussin’ with the Boys podcast.

“Hopefully I’m the best man. We’ll see,” Jason said. “Trav has a lot of friends, I’m just hoping to get the opportunity.”

Prior to Swift and Travis’ engagement announcement, the “So High School” singer appeared on the brothers’ New Heights podcast in August where she praised her future brother-in-law and his wife.

At the time, the Grammy winner said Jason and Kylie were “exactly” as she thought they’d be after meeting them, and described the couple as the “realest, the smartest, the coolest” during the episode.

Taylor was also spotted spending some time with Kylie and her and Jason’s four daughters in the private box at Arrowhead Stadium as they cheered on “Uncle Trav” at the Chiefs’ Dec. 14 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Kylie opened up about the event on the Dec. 18 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast.

“It was also super exciting to get to see friends and family that were there because the girls were so excited to get to watch a game with all of them,” she shared.

“She put so much work into this album and the film and seeing how fans have embraced both means the world to her,” the source shared. “She’s been super focused on work commitments and hasn’t seen Travis much. She’s not kidding when she says she’s exhausted. She’s ready for a professional break so she can focus on the wedding. She’s very excited about planning the wedding.”
