KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Chiefs’ postseason hopes ended in heartbreak Sunday, in more ways than one.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes left late in the fourth quarter with an injury. He needed help getting to the locker room.

The Chargers went on to intercept backup QB Gardner Minshew to hold on and beat the Chiefs 16-13. Combined with the Chiefs’ loss, the Texans, Bills and Jaguars all won today – mathematically eliminating Kansas City from the postseason.
The Chiefs held the NFL’s longest active postseason streak entering the day at 10 years.
