Robert Griffin III Drops Interesting Hint About His Future & Promises Answers Following Surprise Firing From ESPN

Days after his unexpected firing from ESPN, Robert Griffin III took to X/Twitter and promised “answers” for fans while dropping a hint on what he’ll be doing next.

Robert Griffin III worked with ESPN for three hires, joining the Worldwide Leader in Sports in 2021 following his NFL playing career. He worked on their “NFL Live” and “Monday Night Countdown” programs, but was replaced by ex-Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce on the latter show.

Three days after he was fired, Griffin sent out a heartwarming message to fans about the support his family received. Griffin encouraged fans to subscribe to his YouTube channel and ask questions that he vows to answer.

This post offers two interesting things. For starters, it looks like Griffin’s main post-ESPN endeavor will be his YouTube channel for now. And secondly, his X post indicates that the former Heisman Trophy winner will go into further detail about his stunning departure from ESPN.

ESPN and FOX pursued RG3 he played his final NFL season for the Baltimore Ravens in 2020, Andrew Marchand reported for the New York Post then. ESPN was the lucky winners, only to surprisingly cut ties with the beloved analyst after three years.

Robert Griffin III Should Be Sought-After By Other Networks

At only 34 years of age, RG3 is a young star in NFL media. His excellent in-depth analysis, humor and personality made Griffin a special hiring for ESPN, making his firing all the more baffling.

Rival networks like NBC, CBS, FOX and even NFL Network should strongly consider adding Griffin to their show. CBS bid farewell to longtime analysts Boomer Esiason and Phil Simms earlier this year, so why not add Griffin to the reshuffled lineup that now includes JJ Watt?

Griffin has a wide following on social media and his YouTube channel. His work speaks for itself, so it hopefully won’t be long until somebody else picks up the 2012 Offensive Rookie of the Year.
