Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift know that fighting with a true love is boxing with no gloves—so they don’t do it.
Indeed, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end recently pressed George Clooney on his viral claim that he hasn’t fought with wife Amal Clooney in over 10 years, but shared he’s well on his way to that record with the “Karma” singer.
“Well, it’s only been two and a half years, and you’re right,” Travis joked during the New Heights Dec. 3 episode. “I haven’t gotten into an argument. Never once.”
George, for his part, maintained he doesn’t pick fights with his wife of 11 years because it’s futile.
“You’re never going to win the argument,” the ER star reasoned. “So why get in it?”
To which Travis agreed, adding, “So true.”
Of course, the NFL player has emphasized before just how smart Taylor was to him from the jump.
“I’ve never been a man of many words,” Travis admitted to WSJ. magazine in 2023, shortly after the couple went public with their relationship. “Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f–king mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”
And earlier this year, he admitted that it’s very easy for the couple to see eye-to-eye considering their similar professional endeavors.
“I hadn’t experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions,” Travis told GQ in August. “That was very relatable, seeing how exhausted she would get after shows. She may not think of herself as an athlete. She will never tell anyone that she is an athlete. But I’ve seen what she goes through. I’ve seen the amount of work that she puts on her body, and it’s mind-blowing.”
Taylor, meanwhile, is just as much in awe of Travis’ ability to ball as he is with her knowledge of Aristotle.
“That is violent chess, that is gladiators without swords,” she noted during an October appearance on The Tonight Show. “That is dangerous! The whole season, I am locked into what that man is doing on the field.”
