Kansas City Chiefs Brace For NFL Hammer After Controversial Incident Involving Dak Prescott [VIDEO]

Chiefs 3rd-round pick Ashton Gillotte might be in some serious trouble following his actions against Dak Prescott on Thursday.

It was bad enough that the Kansas City Chiefs lost on Thanksgiving, but now they may be down one player for their next game, which becomes the most important contest of the season.

The moment went down in the second quarter when the Dallas Cowboys were facing a second-and-7 at the Dallas 18-yard line. Dak Prescott dropped back and tossed an incomplete pass, but as soon as he let the ball go, he got destroyed by a Chiefs defender.

Dak Prescott complained to the ref, but no flag was thrown. A replay of the incident shows that Prescott was hit with a blatant helmet-to-helmet hit that should’ve produced a penalty.

No flag was thrown on Chiefs rookie defensive end Ashton Gillotte.

The referees did not call a roughing the passer penalty on Gillotte, but the rookie is not safe from punishment. The NFL Officiating Department reviews every play from every game, and this is one play that will be looked at.

Gillotte has not been fined by the NFL this season, so for a first timer to commit a roughing the passer violation, he is eligible for a $17,389 fine. His possible penalty will be announced via the gameday accountability report.
