New York Giants RB Cam Skattebo Shares Major Update After Injury Scare

New York Giants rookie running back Cam Skattebo gave fans a scare in Week 8 when he suffered a serious ankle injury against the Philadelphia Eagles. He had an open dislocation, a broken fibula, and a torn deltoid ligament. Trainers rushed to him, cut off his cleat on the field, and sent him to the hospital for surgery.

The injury looked terrible, but doctors were hopeful as long as he avoided infection. That risk dropped in the weeks after, and Skattebo has been making steady progress. He shared a new update during a World of Warcraft stream on Twitch and sounded positive about how his recovery is going.

“Ankle’s good,” Skattebo told his viewers as he leaned back and moved his foot for the camera. “Update, cat. I can even move my toes and (expletive). I’m getting better every day. Every day, chat. It’s getting better. I can move my toes, chat.”

“I got a twin here,” he joked while moving his shoulder. “I scratch my chin with this.”
