Kim Kardashian shares result of law exam after six years of studying

Kim Kardashian has revealed the result of her law exam after she worked for six years to pass the bar in California back in July.

The reality TV star had said she wanted to become a lawyer like her father Robert back in 2019, having got herself an apprenticeship at a San Francisco law firm.

She’s also playing a lawyer in the new TV series All’s Fair, which has been savaged by critics as it has a Rotten Tomatoes score of five percent while The Guardian and The Times both gave it zero-star reviews.

Anyhow, in 2021 Kardashian revealed she’d passed the ‘baby bar’ exam, California’s assessment for the first year of study, on her fourth attempt.

Earlier this year she also took the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE) which you have to pass with a score of at least 86 to practice law in California.

However, when it comes to the results of the bar exam, which she took in July, Kardashian seems to have hit a bit of a snag.

Posting to Instagram, she said she was ‘not a lawyer yet’ as she explained that she had failed the law test but was going to give it another go.

She wrote: “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.

“Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination.”

“Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far.

“Failing short isn’t failure – it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivated me even more. Let’s go!”

How does the California bar exam work?

The California bar exam takes two days and consists of five hour-long essay questions, a 90-minute performance test and 200 multiple choice questions.

Around 16,000 people take the exam each year, and of those who tried it in February this year 66.8 percent passed it.

Fortunately for Kardashian, despite not passing the test there is no limit besides the financial one on how many times you can take it, and she probably has enough money to have another crack at it.

The test result throws a bit of a wrench into her career plans, as she’d told The Graham Norton Show recently she ‘will be qualified in two weeks‘.

“I hope to practise law. Maybe in 10 years, I think I’ll give up being Kim K and be a trial lawyer. That’s what I really want,” she said.
