Jay Cutler is having a rough finish to 2025.
Newly-released footage of Cutler’s October 2024 DUI arrest was released this week. The Franklin Police public affairs department released the footage of Cutler’s arrest on Oct. 17, 2024, after he rear-ended another vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
In the clip published Thursday by TMZ Sports, the 42-year-old was asked by a police officer how much alcohol he had consumed after rear-ending another vehicle.
He proceeded to lie by saying, “None.” The arresting officer advised him not to lie. Once Jay Cutler was asked again, he replied, “A little bit.”
Upon rejecting a field sobriety test, the officer told the former NFL quarterback to turn around and promptly arrested him.
Cutler has not spoken out about his arrest, nor his short jail stay as a result of his DUI arrest.
Jay Cutler Was Sent To Jail

Newly released footage has surfaced showing former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler refusing to take a field sobriety test before he was placed under arrest.
The driver of the other vehicle at the time told responding authorities that Cutler “attempted to flee the scene after offering him $2,000 if he did not call the Police.”
Since the incident, Jay Cutler has faced several consequences, including a short jail stay, a $350 fine, and one year of supervised probation.
The former NFL quarterback began serving a four-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to driving under the influence. He would be released around two-and-a-half days later, according to TMZ.
He might be out of jail, but he cannot do what he wants.
In his plea deal, he must also be on unsupervised probation for one year and attend a DUI safety class. His Tennessee license was also revoked. He also must undergo random and regular drug tests.
