Cris Collinsworth mimicked Patrick Mahomes’ voice on live TV while calling the ‘Sunday Night Football’ clash between the Chiefs and Lions.
Collinsworth and Mike Tirico were discussing Mahomes’ impact on the NFL, agreeing that the Chiefs quarterback was the face of the league, when the former suddenly broke off into a funny voice as he attempted to impersonate the All-Pro QB.
“And he got that little Kermit voice, you know, that Kermit the Frog thing,” he said with a laugh, pointing out that everyone tries to pull off the voice.
Check it out in the video below:
Patrick Mahomes does have a pretty unique voice. Admittedly, he does sound like the Muppets character, which, as Cris Collinsworth pointed out, has prompted several attempts to impersonate him.
Even Nike seemed to mock the voice after the Eagles won the Super Bowl in February.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs are looking to avoid dropping to 2-4 this week following what has been a slow start to the season.
Mahomes had gone 10-of-14 for 132 yards and one touchdown heading into halftime at the time of writing.
The Chiefs had a 13-10 lead.
