JJ Watt was on the call for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ game against the Cleveland Browns when his old college picture came up on the broadcast.
In the midst of the blowout, the Houston Texans legend took the opportunity to roast himself over hw he used to look while in the trenches with the Wisconsin Badgers.
The photo shown to the world was from Wisconsin’s media day in 2008. He did not actually play that season since he had previously transferred to the school from Central Michigan.
With the picture on the screen, play-by-play broadcaster Ian Eagle asked Watt, “What exactly was going on?”
“Oh my gosh! I was fat, and I had a weird facial-hair situation going on. … I (didn’t) know how to tie a tie. I have a chinstrap going on,” Watt said. “That is a bad look. A lot of Mickies Dairy Bar in my system.”
JJ Watt roasting himself is just par for the course. He usually takes time to do it to others, as he displayed earlier this year when he roasted a troll for his smart comeback towards his training camp take.
As for the game that JJ Watt was calling, the Browns dropped to 1-5 after falling 23-9 to the rival Steelers on Sunday in Pittsburgh.
The Browns’ offense simply could not score a touchdown, and Myles Garrett and the defense failed to sack Aaron Rodgers once. It was a failure on both sides of the ball.
On the other side of the ball, the Steelers sacked Browns rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel six times.
Following the game, Myles Garrett said, “Must be nice” when asked by a reporter what he was thinking while watching the Steelers’ pass rushers go after the quarterback, via Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.
