One critic claimed, “It’s called too much Botox – it pushes her eyes down – it will wear off in 1-2 months – not a good look and a bad injector! [sic]”
Another wrote, “I just wish her face would move…….”

A third added, “Love Taylor! She’s classy, gorgeous and her songs are fun! But did she do something different to her eyes? Lids? Lift? [sic],” while a fourth asked, “Did she do something to her eyes?”
The speculation quickly spiraled, with many suggesting the singer had undergone cosmetic work.

Others, however, rushed to her defense, insisting her altered appearance was simply the result of makeup and lighting. One fan gushed, “she looks so pretty here 🙂↔️ love her makeup💞 [sic],” while another echoed, “no one loves a millenial cat eye like my girl taytay. [sic]”
Some fans even shared more emotional theories. “Her eyelids are puffy… poor girl was crying all night,” one person speculated.

Despite the frenzy surrounding her looks, Swift’s actual words during the sit-down were what truly mattered. She addressed the mixed reactions to her album with her usual grace and confidence, admitting, “I welcome the chaos. The rule of show business is if it’s the first week of my album release and you are saying either my name or my album title, you’re helping.”
She went on to discuss art, saying that its perception often depends on the viewer:
“And art, I have a lot of respect for people’s subjective opinions on art. I’m not the art police. It’s like everybody is allowed to feel exactly how they want. And what our goal is as entertainers is to be a mirror.”
Swift also reflected on how her music often mirrors both her own journey and that of her fans. She explained that people connect with her albums differently depending on what’s happening in their lives — and that some listeners grow to love new eras over time.
“I have such an eye on legacy when I’m making my music. I know what I made. I know I adore it, and I know that on the theme of what the Showgirl is, all of this is part of it,” she proudly shared.
The pop icon may have divided opinions with her latest look, but her message about creativity, evolution, and embracing criticism remains unmistakably Swift.
