Dodgers Superstar Mookie Betts Refused To Stay With His Teammates In Milwaukee Hotel For The Strangest Reason, And Now The Entire Internet Is Roasting Him Over It

Baseball fans are teeing off on Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts after it was revealed that he’s refusing to stay in the same hotel as his teammates for their road trip in Milwaukee.

The Dodgers began a four-game series in Milwaukee against the Brewers on Monday. The team is staying at the luxurious Pfister Hotel downtown, but Mookie Betts refuses to join them and is renting an Airbnb, according to Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times.

The reason? DiGiovanna reports that the two-time World Series champion is spooked by the legends that ghosts haunt the Pfister Hotel.

As you would expect, fans had a field day mocking Betts over his fear and refusal to stay with his teammates:

Laugh at Mookie Betts all you want, but there’s actually a long list of MLB players who have shared creepy stories about their stays at the Pfister Hotel. This includes Bryce Harper, who had a peculiar experience at the hotel during his 2012 rookie year:

“When I woke up in the morning — I swear on everything — the clothes were on the floor and the table was on the opposite side of the room against the wall…I was so flustered. I honestly thought there might be someone in my room…and then I checked to see if the door was still latched, and it was.”

Whatever works for Mookie. In his first game since being taken off the IL, Betts went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. The Dodgers went on to win 5-2 in a potential postseason preview.

Game 2 of their series goes at 8:10 p.m. ESET tonight. Gavin Stone will be on the mound for the Dodgers, with Colin Rea getting the ball for Milwaukee. Their four-game series concludes on Thursday.

Mookie Betts’ Return Makes Dodgers The World Series Favorites

The Dodgers were still playing like a World Series contender while Betts was on the injured list, but his return makes them the undisputed front-runners to win it all in October. No other team can match their “big three” of Betts, two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani and first baseman Freddie Freeman.

It’s World Series or bust every year for the Dodgers. With Ohtani joining an already star-studded team, there’s no denying that they’re the team to beat.
