New Camera Angle Shows Eagles QB Jalen Hurts Running All The Way Down The Field To Try & Catch His Own Hail Mary Pass vs. Broncos [VIDEO]

A new camera angle shows Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts trying a genius “1000 IQ” play on the final play of Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles were on the cusp of a perfect 5-0 start, taking a 17-3 lead into the final frame against Bo Nix and the visitors. But the defense imploded by allowing 18 unanswered points, forcing Hurts to try and pull off a last-second miracle to stay undefeated.

After the officials missed what should have been a pass interference call against JL Skinner on Dallas Goedert, Hurts had one more chance to win the game with a Hail Mary heave. The Broncos, however, narrowly held on to hand the defending champions their first loss:

While AJ Brown was inexplicably facemasking teammate DeVonta Smith on the Hail Mary, a new overhead camera angle shows Hurts trying to pull off a never-before-seen play that would have broken the internet.

From this angle, you can see Hurts running to the end zone and preparing to catch the ball off a potential deflection:

Few quarterbacks are as fast as Hurts, and most Hail Marys are thrown near or behind the 50-yard line. If there’s one quarterback who could one day catch his own Hail Mary heave for a touchdown, though, it’s Hurts

The last person who can take blame for the Eagles’ loss to Denver is Hurts. He was under duress all game and took six sacks, and star running back Saquon Barkley was surprisingly ineffective with only 30 rushing yards on six carries.

Hurts still finished with 280 passing yards and two touchdowns against arguably the best defense in football, per ESPN. He was let down by his offensive line, an unproductive ground game and a quiet day from Brown (five catches for 43 yards).

Jalen Hurts gave the Eagles every opportunity to win the game. He hardly gets the credit when Philly wins, so it’s unfair to assign him the blame over the club’s first loss of 2025.
