“Hawk Tuah” Girl Haliey Welch Reveals Why She Returned To Social Media Six Months After Wiping All Her Accounts, And It’s Not Because She’s Famous Now

Hailey Welch, A.K.A the “Hawk Tuah” Girl, hasn’t been back on Instagram long, but she’s already up to 1.4 million followers on the platform, having reached a million in less than a week.

The 21-year-old is currently the most famous internet personality in the world and is getting exposure like never before.

She recently sat down for an interview with Rolling Stone during which she made several revelations, including why she came back to social media. Of course, it makes sense for someone who is internet famous to be on social media, but that’s not the reason she returned.

Welch reveals having wiped her accounts six months ago due to “personal reasons, like mental health,” but decided to get back on after several impersonator accounts popped up online.

“I’m like, are you s***tin’ me?” she remarked. “These people are making money off of me and they’re not even me!”

Haliey Welch Has Been Making Some Serious Paper Too

Of course, Hailey Welch is being paid like the founder of “Hawk Tuah” should. She has sold around $65,000 worth of merchandise and, according to TMZ, made around $30,000 for an appearance at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida, this week.

She’s also set for another $30K for an appearance in Long Island this weekend, per RS.

While her manager, Jonnie Forster, wouldn’t specify how much charges for an appearance, he said it’s “enough to pay for her horse food and dog food for the rest of their lives.”
