Mark Sanchez is lucky to have only misdemeanor charges against him.
Sanchez has been charged with battery with injury, public intoxication, and unlawful entry of a vehicle after an incident in Indianapolis early on Saturday morning that left him hospitalized with stab wounds.
Sanchez, who now works as an NFL analyst for Fox Sports, confronted a 69-year-old truck driver, and things went haywire almost immediately. The argument occurred in an alley near the Westin Indianapolis hotel and the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown.
The man was backed into the loading dock area when Sanchez became enraged over where he was. Surveillance footage reviewed by officers showed Sanchez “grabbing and throwing” the man toward the wall of the Westin hotel.
The man pepper-sprayed Sanchez in the face, but it had little effect, so he informed officers that he had to take things to the next step.
The man, who thought his life was in danger, pulled out a knife, and when Sanchez approached him, the man “struck him two or three times.”
Sanchez was said to be in critical condition and was transported to the hospital.

On Sunday, the family of the 69-year-old man who was in an altercation with Sanchez released a picture of his injuries, and it showed he was in quite the battle with the former quarterback.
The bloody man had a massive cut on his face, and blood could be seen everywhere on his body as he lay in a hospital bed.

As stated before, Sanchez has been charged with three misdemeanors in relation to an incident on Saturday in Indianapolis in which he was stabbed and taken to a hospital.
Sanchez was arrested by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department at a hospital on Saturday.
Sanchez was scheduled to be part of the broadcast crew for Sunday’s contest between the Las Vegas Raiders and Indianapolis Colts, but has since been replaced by Brady Quinn.
