NFL on FOX Took a Moment to Address Mark Sanchez Stabbing & Arrest With Interesting Statement During Pregame Show [VIDEO]

FOX Sports addressed the Mark Sanchez stabbing incident to begin their NFL coverage for Week 5 following the analyst’s early Saturday morning ordeal.

According to Indianapolis authorities, they were called to the scene of a stabbing around 12:30 AM on Saturday, after which two people were hospitalized with knife wounds. Sanchez was one of those two, having sustained a stab wound, while the other person was later treated for lacerations.

Sanchez was in Indianapolis to call the Raiders-Colts game for FOX, but the network was forced to replace him because of the above.

His colleague Curt Menefee made a brief statement during Sunday’s coverage, revealing the folks at FOX were still struggling to digest what happened.

“Friday night in Indianapolis, one of our team members, Mark Sanchez, was involved in an incident that, to be honest, we’re still trying to wrap our heads around,” he said.

“At this time, our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, his family, and all of those involved.”

The former quarterback was also placed under arrest while in hospital and is facing three charges.
