Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill had a bizarre reaction had a bizarre emotional response after being taken away in an ambulance with a gruesome season-ending knee injury on Monday night.
Tyreek Hill was injured on a tackle in the third quarter of the Dolphins’ “Monday Night Football” game against the New York Jets. A gnarly close-up image showed the bone popping out of Hill’s knee, an immediate indicator that he was done for the season.
On Monday, news broke that Hill suffered multiple torn ligaments in his dislocated knee and tore his ACL. The 31-year-old will undergo surgery on Tuesday and will be sidelined for the rest of 2025.
When an NFL player suffers a horrific season-ending injury, they’re usually emotionally devastated and in tears. But as Hill was being taken away in the hospital, you can see nothing but smiles in this viral video:
Good on Tyreek Hill for staying in high spirits, though.
“He was probably in the best spirits of any player that I’ve ever seen [have] such a terrible experience,” Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said after the game, per ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques. “He immediately had wide eyes and was talking, ‘I’m good, just make sure the guys get this win.’ He was focused on the team.”
Tyreek Hill Was Having A Strong Bounce-Back Season Before Gruesome Knee Injury

Hill had a disappointing 2024 season by his standards, catching 81 passes for 959 yards and six touchdowns. Those numbers aren’t bad for a WR by any means, but Hill eclipsed the 100-catch and 1,700-yard marks in the previous two years.
Tyreek Hill looked poised to post his second 100-yard game of the season against the Jets before his injury. He was also on pace to comfortably cross 1,000 yards again, recording 21 catches for 265 yards and a touchdown in the four games.
It’s always hard to predict how a player will bounce back from an injury as horrific as Hill’s. He’ll be 32 next year and relies mostly on his speed, so it’s unfortunately a strong possibility that the future Hall of Famer will never be the same player when he returns.
